Got out today with good friend and fellow angler Gordy Grasser. With most of the rivers here in SW Washington dropping but still to high to fish it was a good chance to look at new water. We ended up at the Naselle River looking for a put in, given there is no boat launch we felt fortunate to find this place to slide in over the bank. Though we won't be back this winter, we will definitely be back this fall to fish coho.
With the way rivers are dropping we should be back on the water Monday!

Local waters are still to high and off color to fish but the forecast looks much dryer so hopefully this weekend conditions will be favorable. Spent today tieing steelhead jigs, these are 1/4 oz tied on a 1/0 hook with rabbit. If you need some for you arsenal get with me...

Fall salmon forecast for 2014
February 17 2014
We are seeing a break in the rain this morning but another storm is moving in. Most rivers in the area are high wide and muddy. The Cowlitz River is in great shape as well as the Skookumchuck.
